The Aeromed-list came into being in June 1996. The first post, was to 13 members. Started by Dr Dougal Watson it was one of the first List services provided by Silverquick. There are now over 600 members in over 50 countries. Development has continued. The list is now archived can be be used by list members to search for topics and a medical publishing database is being developed allowing members to search publication references for key words. "Aeromed-list is a specialist forum for aviation medicine specialists and is managed for us by Silverquick. Our membership is spread across the world with over 53 countries represented. We use the list to discuss a wide variety of aviation medical issues ranging from the medical certification of pilots without legs through to the implications of rare diseases on military aviators. The service and support provided to us by Silverquick has been flawless. Thanks to Silverquick our esoteric little group, established by an Australian, inhabited by folk from around the world, can correspond seamlessly via a server in the UK."
